Dr. Dietrich Henzler is an active clinician at the Queen Elisabeth II Health Sciences Center and Professor at the Departments of Anesthesia and Critical Care at Dalhousie University.
He is also appointed with the Department of Physiology and Biophysics, teaching graduate and medical students. His research interests are about pulmonary physiology and acute lung injury with a special focus on mechanical ventilation and extracorporeal gas exchange.
Dr. Henzler has received research funding from the German research society, from the medical faculties of Aachen and Dalhousie University, the National Research Council of Canada and various industrial partners. Together with international collaborators he has authored more than 30 original articles in peer-reviewed journals.
